Well said (pun intended). I’ve had a pretty rough first week of work, and I’m somehow simultaneously feeling like all I can do is rest is His strength but yet also feeling more distant from Him than usual? Not sure quite how that works, but it’s where I’m at… This is helpful and reassuring. I’ll just keep pushing forward, ask Him for help, and hope we’re digging an unexpected well. I like that you referenced “living water” multiple times as Jesus did - I think I could benefit from opening my hands and heart and praying for that. You always bless me with these, so I’m always so excited when you post them. :)

"It is better to obey than sacrifice". We don't always know why God has put us where He has put us. (And sometimes we ARE in the wrong spot.) It's easier to obey if we know why He desires and directs a journey. But faith requires no proof, no explanation, and no logic. It is a trust that supasses evidence and is based on unquestioning belief and convinced confidence. And it is that faith that you held onto, and although shaken, did not let go. The saying "God is good all the time" is lightly stated, often doubted, and many times not felt. Imagine how Job felt! God is not only good, but He is RIGHT all the time or he would not be God. His ways are not our ways. We are alike in that we want to have our ducks in a row, know what is expected of us, be prepared, and then get on with it! Ellie, God is using you in ways you cannot know or see. Remember YOU plant the seeds and HE gives the increase. This was a vulnerable writing and many will identify with your situation. We continue to pray for His purpose to be fulfilled in your life and that "Firefly" will become a successful and far-reaching ministry. Keep up the writings! Love you muchly!

Way to speak exactly into the chapter I’m living 😭😊Thank you for the reminder that God is faithful and he rewards obedience, even when seasons feel dry or don’t make sense. What a comfort to know we all go through dry seasons—and that God is still with us through it all!

✨🩷 God is so good! I have tears after reading this. What a beautiful story of God working even when we feel alone, dried up, and in a valley. Praising Him for how He moves even when we don't see it right away. Thank you sharing such a vulnerable story with us! This is not only exceptional writing, it spoke deeply and allowed me to journey WITH you. My heart raced, it ached, celebrated, and I found myself recalling my own moments of question and then experiencing God's beautiful presence. I could see and feel that moment with you. The perspective you have speaks to the soul. Beautiful post! ✨🩷

I will always read what you write because Ik it’s going to be a goodie. God is such a funny one isn’t he? He takes us through all the doubts and fears only to once again remind us He’s been there all along. Humans… can’t live with em, can’t live without em. Keep going girl, big things surround you
